The ANFP must suspend the university classic next Sunday, after confirming that Universidad Católica will face Velez Sarfield on Tuesday, and the 72-hour difference between the two duels is not met.
The duel between the U and the UC was scheduled for Sunday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. All good there. The problem arose when Conmebol confirmed that the Crusaders must face the Argentine team on Tuesday, December 8, in Buenos Aires.
The rules establishes so that a team may not play two official matches in a range of less than 72 hours when it is in international competitions. This is not fulfilled in both duels, which will force the ANFP to have to move it from its original time and day.
The rescheduling of the meeting must be informed in the next few hours by the ANFP, and it represents a significant problem given the limited calendar until the end of the year.
The next date of the National Championship is played in the middle of next week. The U will face Audax on December 9, while Católica will host Wanderers, in a meeting scheduled for the 10th, but which must also be rescheduled.
