This Saturday Cristiano Ronaldo is news not for his goals or his great plays but for a scandalous charge of which he was the protagonist in the match between Serbia and Portugal for the European qualifiers for Qatar 2022.

The match was tied at two goals and at the end of the match a precise pass fell to Cristiano Ronaldo who defined first before the late departure of Dimitrovic, the Serbian goalkeeper.

Through the cameras it can be seen that the ball entered the goal before Stefan Mitrovic took the ball out of the danger zone, however, the referee did not validate the goal which meant victory for the Portuguese. The issue is that VAR is not used in the European qualifiers to Qatar.

The situation provoked the outrage of all Portugal and its captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, lost control with the decision. After the angry claim, Ronaldo earned the yellow card.
