The passengers sought by the Minsal after confirming the arrival in Chile of the new strain of coronavirus

After it was confirmed that the new strain of coronavirus arrived in Chile, the Ministry of Health works to locate the passengers who were on two flights: the Iberia 6833 from Madrid to Santiago on December 21, and at the Jetsmart 281 in Santiago to Temuco on December 22.

The Chilean woman who passed through Dubai and London was present on those flights, and after being subjected to the PCR test, the strain SARS-CoV-2 VUI 202012/01 was detected, the same strain found in the United Kingdom.

“The Seremi de Salud is locating the passengers of the flight from Santiago to Temuco. They are contacting each other, but I want to make a call to all the people who have traveled on this flight to take isolation measures and to move urgently to a health center to be tested, “explained the Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza.

Similarly, Daza stated the following: “A very important call to all the people who traveled on Iberia flight 6833 on December 21 from Madrid to Chile and those who traveled on December 22 on the flight from Santiago to Temuco at Jetsmart 281, to contact the health authority local”.
