The Minister of the Interior, Víctor Pérez, valued during this day the detention of three people in the Antiquina sector in Cañete, from whom a large quantity of weapons and communication elements were seized.

The Secretary of State stated that “what the police and justice are doing is to arrest an armed group, a family that had weapons, bullets, ammunition, bulletproof vests, communications systems. There is no doubt that these elements do not exist in the houses of working families, of peace. Therefore we hope that the detention control will begin to prove the participation of this group “in some acts of violence registered in the area.

Along the same lines, he added that “the fact of having managed to arrest the people who are accused of robbery with threat, of attempted homicide, with this level of weapons and equipment to commit crimes, should not cause us any commotion, it should generate satisfaction. that the police are fulfilling a very important duty to advance in giving peace and tranquility to the people who live in that area ”.

Asked about the possible link between the detainees with the murder of a 21-year-old in that town, Pérez indicated that the courts will determine the exact responsibilities of those people, but that in any case “I believe there are more cells in that area due to the magnitude of the attacks we have suffered and the terror that has been tried to install.”

Carabineros reported that the arrests – of the 54-year-old PCS who records previous arrests for public disorder, of the 27-year-old OCA, who was under total house arrest, and of the 30-year-old WCA – were carried out within the framework of compliance of the judicial order of the guarantee court of Cañete, for the crime of two frustrated homicides that occurred in the Antiquina sector, against people from the indigenous communities of the sector, and a robbery with violence and intimidation that affected a family.
