The Homosexual Integration and Liberation Movement (Movilh) presented and put into circulation the “Diversity Bus” to confront the “Freedom Bus” imposed by the Christian Legislative Observatory.
The bus traveled the main streets of the Metropolitan Region this Monday, demanding full equality of rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer (LGBTI +) people and for homoparental families.
The tour started in front of La Moneda
The Movilh spokesman, Óscar Rementería, stated that this bus “comes to say here, at the front of La Moneda, that we do not tolerate or accept the disregard for human rights promoted by the Bus del Odio. That we are here, in front of La Moneda, and not the Bus el Odio, as happened in 2017, which means that today we have won a battle. Hate speeches should have stayed at home, they have been displaced by respect for diversity ”.
For his part, Rolando Jiménez, representative of the movement, pointed out that “the approval of the bill on Childhood Guarantees is essential to guarantee the equality of all girls, boys, children and adolescents, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity as a child. For this reason, we already announced that the Diversity Bus will go to the National Congress of Valparaíso this Wednesday, to demand the approval of the law and confront the Bus of Hate, since everything indicates that it will arrive at the port. “
