This Sunday primary elections were held in 65 communes throughout Chile. The elections were organized by the parties of the Constituent Unit pact formed by the Socialist Party, the Christian Democracy, the Radical Party, the Party for Democracy, the Progressive Party and Citizens, in order to decide the candidates for the municipal elections of the next year, set for April 11.
The Christian Democracy emerged as the party that won the most candidates, with 27 communes of the 53 in which it participated. It is followed by the PPD with 10 communes and the Radical Party together with the Socialist Party with 6 communes each.
