The Confederation for Production and Commerce announced a contribution of 2,500 million pesos for the solidarity campaign “Vamos Chilenos”, which seeks to raise funds to support at least 50,000 older adults who have been affected by the pandemic, and help them connect with support networks.
In conversation – via telematics – with the television broadcast of the event, the president of the CPC, Juan Sutil, he told Don Francisco that “Chile will accompany him as it has always accompanied him.”
On the cause that the campaign supports, he said that “we cannot stop supporting vulnerable old men and women, and all Chileans have to support them.”
Therefore, “we, the businessmen, through the health emergency fund to carry out all the actions that we have developed to collaborate and show solidarity with all Chileans, we are working on the fund that will be a collaboration of 2,500 million pesos “ for “Vamos Chilenos,” he announced.
He also promised that “we will continue working in the next 24 hours to see what else we can do and how else we can help in this noble cause.”

Previously, at the beginning of the campaign, Don Francisco asked “to open our hearts to those who need us” and he called on “those who have the most, the most can and the most know” -especially the businessmen- to support “those who have the least, the least can and the least know.”
Although the animator stated that 30 billion are required, this campaign does not have a fundraising goal; donations can be made in a single account: the 2020 account of all banks in the country and in Coopeuch; and on the Banco Chile, BCI and Santander websites there is a special button to make a donation.
The money raised will go to the Conecta Mayor foundation, of the Catholic University, for the Virtual Help and Communication Center called CONNECT MAJOR, designed to communicate and accompany the elderly, specifically about 80 thousand people over 80 years of age. In addition, a special food and supplies kit for people of this age will be delivered.
The last count up to the closing of this note had encrypted at 4,346,340,811 pesos the money raised in the first hours of the campaign.
