After several postponements due to the pandemic, this Friday it finally debuted Wonder Woman 1984, the long-awaited sequel to the Diana Prince story, starring Gal Gadot.
The film brings several surprises and one of them is a cameo, no less, than the family of the protagonist.
Not only Yaron Versano, Gadot’s husband, appeared in the film, but so did the actress’s two daughters, Alma (9) and Maya (2).
“It meant a lot, especially in that very special scene,” Gal said in an interview with journalist Kevin McCarthy. “I have two daughters, they both appeared, the oldest appeared with Ace, Patty’s son (Jenkins, the director), and then the youngest, who I was pregnant with during the Wonder Woman re-filming, was there with my husband” he confessed.
Specifically, Alma appears in a “Christmas scene” at the end of the film (2:22:57), where he is seen throwing a snowball, accidentally hitting Diana. The girl apologizes and she replies that she is fine.
A couple of minutes later, Yaron can be seen standing next to Maya as she rides a carousel.
“Having them captured on film with me, because they are part of it, it meant a lot, and it is an amazing, amazing memory that we will always cherish,” he added.
The film was released simultaneously in the cinema and on the HBO MAX streaming platform, and although it managed to top the box office since the coronavirus began to spread, it did not exceed $ 17 million in the US.
The film opened in 2,150 theaters nationwide on December 25 and grossed $ 85 million worldwide at the box office.
This Sunday a third installment was confirmed by the hand of its director Patty Jenkins and Gadot.
