In a new edition of the stellar “Yo Soy”, during the night of this Wednesday, one of the contestants had a strange and unexpected claim when he finished his presentation.
Alexis Valenzuela imitated James LaBrie, lead singer of the metal group Dream Theater. However, and to her bad luck, it was not one of her best presentations. Of course, the actor Cristián Riquelme, who is a jury of the program, liked the imitation and only had praise for the contestant.
“Thank you for bringing rock to this stage, I will always be grateful … You look like you physically, you look a lot like your voice … it’s very good,” said Riquelme.
Despite the good comments, the jury realized that something was bothering the LaBrie impersonator and without thinking they asked him with a laugh: “Am I angry?” Behind cardboard, Alexis unexpectedly replied that he was bothered by the smoke that there is at the beginning of the presentations and that it affected his throat.
What did Cristián Riquelme reply?
Valenzuela did not finish speaking when the actor interrupted him and said: “Hey, Sandro was just here, singing that he has a cougar friend and he didn’t say anything about the smoke. You are James LaBrie, from Dream Theater ”, he commented back, highlighting the characteristics of the character he imitated.
Laughing and while pressing the green button, Riquelme added: “James LaBrie sings cold there in San Francisco, with -2 degrees and one lowers a whiskey…. don’t make me press the red (button). I’d better give the step (to Myriam Hernández). No guatís poh, if you sang well “.
Despite the unusual moment lived, the LaBrie impersonator did not suffer the same fate with Myriam Hernández and Antonio Vodanovic, the other jurors, who stressed that, in general terms, it was not a good presentation. In fact, Valenzuela was sent to compete in elimination matches to stay on the show.
