During the last hours there was the arrest of a 57-year-old man who would be the alleged perpetrator of the outrage that the night of March 29 caused the death of a 24-year-old woman in Colina.
According to preliminary information, this person voluntarily surrendered to the headquarters of the Homicide Squad of the PDI in the company of his lawyer.
Let us remember that the case occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Monday in the framework of the commemoration of the Young Combatant’s Day, when a barricade had been installed in Calle San Martín with Lo Seco.
In that place he was Angela Gonzalez, 24, when she was hit by a vehicle speeding through the barricade.
The victim was taken to a health center, where he died around 2:00 in the morning yesterday as a result of the severity of the injuries.
In the last hours, the alleged perpetrator of the incident turned himself in to the police and took his vehicle, which will be examined by detectives.
With this background, the civil police and the Public Ministry must determine the circumstances of the case: if it was a involuntary run-over in the middle of the barricades or if there was an intention to pounce about the protesters who were at the scene.
