The Ministry of Health released this Wednesday afternoon the 91st Epidemiological Report of the covid-19 pandemic in the country with updated data until January 31, indicating the 10 communes with the most active cases in the country.
The report indicates that Antofagasta, Puerto Montt and Iquique are the communes with the highest number of active cases in ChileSince Antofagasta has 1,253 active cases, the regional capital of Los Lagos has 1,169 and that of Tarapacá 745.
Within the 10 communes with the most active cases, the majority (6) belong to the south of Chile.

Valdivia: 670
Osorno: 659
Talca: 574
High Bridge: 549

Regarding the situation in Chile, The report indicates that “as of January 31, 2021, 835,051 cases of COVID-19 have occurred (730,888 with laboratory confirmation and 104,163 probable, without laboratory confirmation), with a rate of 4,291.5 per 100,000 inhabitants.”.
In addition, the highest accumulated incidence rates per 100,000 inhabitants, according to laboratory-confirmed cases, are found in the Magallanes region (12,464.4), the Tarapacá region (6,652.8) and the Los Lagos region (5,351.1).
