A 13-year-old Mapuche minor, a member of the Wente Wilkun Mapu community, was wounded by firearm last night in a shot of the Nahuel farm, located 7 kilometers from Collipulli in the Curaco sector, in the La Araucanía Region.
According to preliminary information, unidentified men fired shots from a vehicle towards the group of Mapuche community members.
In the first instance, the minor was treated at the Collipulli Hospital to later be transferred to the Dr. Hernán Henríquez Aravena Hospital in Temuco, where he is kept “out of risk”.
The fact was alerted last night on social networks by Senator Juan Ignacio Latorre (RD). From the Children’s Ombudsman, meanwhile, they indicated that they were already “gathering information in this regard.”

The Investigative Police (PDI), for its part, denied his participation in the event, after versions circulated that the shot had been executed by police personnel.
“We deny information that circulates on social networks, in which the PDI is linked to the injury of a minor in the commune of Collipulli. No unit of the institution has carried out procedures in this sector “, indicated the PDI in the Region of La Araucanía through its Twitter account.
