Temuco, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas are the three communes that lead the active cases of coronavirus nationwide. This, as revealed by the 64th Epidemiological Report published this afternoon by the Ministry of Health and that reported an increase in active infections in the capital of the Araucanía Region.
The report – delivered twice a week – details the progress of the pandemic in the country commune by commune. In its two previous versions -of October 24 and 28-, it was the capital of Los Lagos that was positioned as the commune with the most active cases, situation that changed today with the increase of this figure in Temuco, which added 74 active positives in one week.
According to the report, Temuco went from 381 active cases last Saturday to 455 to date. Both Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas registered a decrease in this indicator and, in fact, this last commune He came down from the four hundred barrier.
In the Metropolitan Region, meanwhile, five communes pass the hundred active cases and only one of them -Puente Alto- is within the ten municipalities with the highest numbers.
On the other hand, it should be noted that this Saturday nine communes regressed to the Quarantine stage and four belong to La Araucanía: Temuco, Vilcún, Freire and Padre Las Casas.

Now, most of the communes that are on the list have less than 50 thousand inhabitants. That said, in the group of large cities (marked in bold on the list), Punta Arenas it is the one with the highest asset incidence rate with 251.4.
