The North Central Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation against the 16-year-old AAA teenager for his alleged involvement in disorders that occurred the day he was injured in the Pío Nono bridge.
On October 2, the young man had his wrists fractured in a case brought by the prosecutor Ximena Chong. The accused is a uniformed man identified as Sebastian Zamora, who is accused of pushing AAA into the river bed.
Zamora is located in preventive prison after being formalized for attempted murder due to this fact.
Carabineros attended Congress on October 5 to explain the circumstances of the event. There the institution explained that the young would have been participating in acts of violence.
As General Enrique Monras pointed out at that time, AAA would have thrown stones and hit a police vehicle. Even images of it were exhibited (main photo).
Faced with this situation, the North Central Prosecutor’s Office opened a new case for public disorder led by the prosecutor Patricio Cooper, who ordered the Criminal Investigation Squad (Bricrim) of the PDI to carry out the tasks of rigor.
The possible participation of AAA in the incidents is controversial, since prosecutor Chong, when formalizing Zamora, indicated that personnel from the institution would have tried to simulate an arrest.
However, Carabineros has defended his version and insisted that attended the Santa María Clinic, where the young man was taken, and he informed the adolescent’s mother that her son was denounced for public disorders and that he was warned.
In conversation with El Mercurio, AAA’s mother, Daisy Alvear, pointed out that on that occasion she did sign a paper carried by the uniformed men who attended the health center.
