This Sunday started the date 29 of the National Championship, marked by the Catholic University draw with Curicó Unido, the defeat of La Calera with U. de Concepción and the Colo Colo’s vital triumph over Everton, leaving the bottom of the table.
The actions started with the 1-1 between Cruzados and Torteros in San Carlos de Apoquindo. Martín Palermo’s team started winning with a goal from Federico Castro, but Fernando Zampedri equalized for the Franja in the second half.
This stumbling block by UC was wasted by Unión La Calera, which once again lost track of the leader, after being defeated 1-2 by U. de Concepción in “Nicolás Chahuán”.
Those of the “campanil” prevailed with a goal from Andrés Robles and Cecilio Waterman, and cut a long streak of games without winning, also adding valuable points in the weighted table.
La Calera, meanwhile, maintained its 48 points, eight away from the Crusaders, and put its position as a guard at risk, since it can be surpassed by Unión Española (46).
Colo Colo, for its part, had a demanded and suffered 1-0 win over Everton, with an early goal of Pablo Mouche.
Thanks to that victory, he left the last place in the table, with 28 points, two more than the new bottom, Coquimbo Unido, and one over Deportes Iquique, which will close the date on Tuesday against O’Higgins.
Coquimbo will remain bottom, since on this date he will not play his commitment against the University of Chile, for his participation in the South American Cup. Although in his favor he has a series of games less, which will be opportunities to climb positions when he catches up.
Date 29 will continue this Monday, with the Spanish and Palestinian Union parties; Antofagasta and La Serena, Santiago Wanderers and Cobresal, and Audax Italiano-Huachipato.
The day will conclude on Tuesday, with the clash between O’Higgins and Iquique in Rancagua.
