A man died this Sunday after overturning the vehicle he was driving, while fleeing a police checkpoint in the commune of Quilpué, Valparaíso Region.
According to the first antecedents, motorized police personnel found that the license plate of the car kept commission for theft, so they decided to carry out the respective inspection of the driver.
However, he evaded control and in the escape ended up crashing and overturning the vehicle, a fact during which he died, always according to police information.
Captain Claudio Ramírez, from the Second Police Station of the commune, explained that the subject “It takes the track against the direction of the traffic, and loses control of the vehicle because it confronted others who came in the opposite direction: it leaves the road and hits a perimeter fence of a private home and a public lighting pole”.
At the moment, it has not been clarified “if the driver, as a result of the turns and the collision, was ejected from the vehicle, because he was lying in the abdominal position (with the body face down), with multiple multiple trauma and died, which was verified by personnel of the SAMU “, he specified.
There were no other people injured as a result of the accident.
In the possession of the deceased they were also found 53 marijuana container wrappers.
The subject, domiciled in Valparaíso, did not have valid arrest warrants, but did have criminal record in 11 cases, some for violation of the drug law.
