The repercussions continue after the appearance of Evangelical groups in the television strip for the Plebiscite during the space of civil organizations in favor of Rejection, where uA representative of the Evangelical Church invited to vote for that option, assuring that Satan was behind the social outbreak.
This Monday the Council of Historic Protestant Churches of Chile, published a statement where they reject that certain groups take the representation of said community, specifying that “There is NO ‘The Evangelical Church’, but the churches.”
“No organization or church in particular can claim the representation of all the churches, or of the group of evangelicals,” states the letter of the Council that maintains that “Freedom of conscience” it is central to their beliefs.
“The freedom of the believer to decide conscientiously in front of the matters that concern him and also in his capacity as a citizen is guaranteed by theology, the history and tradition of the churches inherited from the Protestant Reformation “, they assured.
In the Rejection strip, a representative of the evangelicals, identified as Kevin Valenzuela, had indicated that “the Bible says that Satan came precisely to kill, steal and destroy. This shows us who is behind this whole re-founding process in Chile and no child of God can give his approval to the unsuccessful works of darkness ”.
