Step by Step Plan 2021: the communes that change stage from this Monday

The Undersecretary for Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell, announced this afternoon the communes that will undergo modifications in their phase corresponding to the Step-by-Step Plan due to the pandemic.

He also stressed that there was only one clandestine party -in Calama-, on the recent New Year’s Day. “People understood and helped to denounce those who do not comply and that is very positive,” said the government official.

The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, also indicated that after the measures announced this Saturday, the individual evaluation strategy of the communes will be applied again according to their particular health progress or setbacks.

Martorell specified that “on this occasion it was agreed to take a preventive and transitory measure to put the entire Metropolitan Region as a unit, beyond the different stages of each commune, projecting what it saw with the end of the year parties and that the numbers of the Metropolitan Region will increase in the way that could be estimated.

The main changes that the undersecretary announced in the Step by Step Plan were the following and will be applied from this Monday at 5:00 in the morning.

Alhué, Calera de Tango, Isla de Maipo, Tiltil, Peñaflor, Quilicura, El Monte, La Pintana, Conchalí, Colina, Melipilla, Talagante, Lampa, Recoleta, Huechuraba, San Bernardo, María Pinto, Buin, Paine, San Pedro and Pirque .

Advance to transition: Puerto Natales and Cabo de Hornos.

They go back to Transition: Valparaíso Region: SanAntonio, Quilpué, Villa Alemana, La Ligua.

To quarantine:

Maule Region: Maule, Romeral and Molina.

In Biobío, Coronel, Hualqui and Hualpén.

Tarapacá Region: Tarapacá: Iquique and Alto Hospicio.
