During the formalization hearing of Denisse Llanos, accused of the crime of parricide against her daughter Ámbar and for whom preventive detention was decreed, the defense attorney, Jaime Vera, asked the Gendarmerie to provide “special care in the San Miguel prison, because the woman has attempted suicide, so she is on medication.
The mother of the young Ámbar is interned with preventive detention at the San Miguel Women’s Detention Center. Her defender argues that there has already been a suicide attempt by Llanos, therefore, given the high risk of repeating a situation of these characteristics, special protection was requested from the Gendarmerie.
The approach was supported with the diagnosis delivered by the Hospital El Salvador de Valparaíso, where she remained hospitalized in the Psychiatric Unit since last September 7, a few weeks before she was arrested.
Likewise, It was requested that within the prison he be allowed to have access to medicines, in order to continue with his treatment. The Villa Alemana Guarantee Court determined that it will request information from the Hospital to see if it is indeed necessary to deliver the medications indicated by the establishment.
Meanwhile, the lawyer Patricio Olivares added that he will request the same penalty for both Hugo Bustamante and his partner Denisse Llanos, both accused of the crime of the 16-year-old girl. “We are going to ask for qualified perpetual imprisonment for both, because that means 40 years of effective jail, which is the minimum time to be able to access a prison benefit ”, he stated.
