The information was confirmed by president of the community, Alondra Arellano, after the Central Committee meeting.
“After a process of internal reflection, our militancy has decided to propose to the country a different government alternative to the last 30 years of the neoliberal model and we have defined that our deputy for the Magallanes region, Gabriel Boric, is the one who heads this proposal as a candidate. to the presidency ”, he affirmed.
Once Gabriel Boric was confirmed as the Social Convergence candidate to head the Frente Amplio alternative, the plenary session of the Central Committee decided to put all its efforts into collecting the signatures that the party needs to present its candidacy.
In addition, the community indicated that they will continue to hold talks with the rest of the coalition forces to decide the mechanism that will define the presidential candidacy.
