A total of six people were arrested on route P-20, in the province of Arauco, for transport wood with false guides.
The arrest had its origin in a complaint by theft of wood in a property of the Forestal Comaco company, in the commune of Arauco, from where they explained that the load of 10 trucks had been stolen.
This situation started an operation that was carried out by means of controls on the aforementioned route and which made it possible to detect six drivers carrying wood with false clearance guides.
Carabineros proceeded to seize the load of wood, the false documentation, and the drivers were arrested.
The commissioner of the Fourth Curanilahue Police Station, Major Jonathan Larraín, affirmed that “We are investigating whether it corresponds to the crime of theft of wood reported in the Arauco commune ”.
The subjects were arrested for malicious use of a commercial instrument, leaving all the records at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
The operation was carried out jointly by carabinieri from the Arauco First Police Station and the Curanilahue Fourth Police Station.
