The internal crisis that Colo Colo is experiencing worsened even more. This Tuesday, at a meeting of Black and White, six directors asked the resignation of President Aníbal Meuse and Vice President Harold Mayne-Nicholls for his leadership of the dealership in recent months.

Carlos Cortes, One of the directors present at the meeting pointed out after the meeting at the Monumental that two representatives of the Social Club requested his departure for April, while four other directors (of the Leonidas Vial block) asked for his immediate resignation, but Mosa refused, as he maintained that it was not a valid vote.

Note that the directors of the Road block are Alfredo Stohwing, Angel Maulén, Diego González and the aforementioned Carlos Cortés; while the representatives of the CSD of Colo Colo are Edmundo Valladares and José Miguel Sanhueza.

The vote for the immediate resignation was 4-4, with the Social Club supporting Mosa for now, since they expect this exit to be in April. This discussion took place when Mayne-Nicholls was no longer present, so Mosa decided instead.

The reason behind the request to resign from Mosa is because of his management in his second term at the command of Blanco y Negro, a period in which Colo Colo has experienced a strong sporting crisis, leading the club to be bottom at various times of the 2020 Championship and fighting for permanence in the First Division in the last game of the season.

He was also harshly criticized for the handling of various referents in recent years, as happened with Agustín Orión, Jaime Valdés and Jorge Valdivia, in 2019; and with Esteban Paredes, Matías Fernández, Carlos Carmona, Juan Insaurralde and Julio Barroso last February.

For his part, Sanhueza, from CSD Colo Colo, explained that at the board meeting, together with Valladares, promoted the idea of advancing the shareholders’ meeting for the fortnight of April: “We believe that the board of directors should be completely restructured”, commented.

In addition, he explained that this Wednesday, the Social and Sports Club will present a government proposal for Colo Colo football, focused on the recovery of identity and sustained development of the institution.
