In the middle of the proceedings to gather more information on the shooting that left a deceased person and at least six other injuries in Maipú, the Prosecutor’s Office affirmed that the case is being investigated as a possible settling of accounts and that the target would be one of the injured.

The highly complex prosecutor Pablo Alonso, of the Western Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office, specified that “within the proceedings that we have been able to develop, it seems in some way, like a certain line of investigation, that this would have to do with problems between gangs that live here in the Maipú commune“.

“The person who could be this possible target is someone who, if there is one, we will keep in reserve precisely to ensure the success of the proceedings,” said Alonso, who later commented that “is part of the group that was affected by this shooting“.

Although at the beginning there were four injured and one deceased, the experts counted a total of seven injured, two of which traveled from the Plaza de Maipú in private vehicles without knowing their destination until now.

The director of Hospital El Carmen warned of an increase in shootings by identifying more cases of people who have arrived at the health center as a result of shooting.
