This morning, the president of the Socialist Party, Alvaro Elizalde, filed a complaint at the PDI offices due to death threats against his family.
The messages, published on Twitter by the account @ javiererrzuriz1, which was suspended by the social network, give an account of the address of the senator’s parents. “A favorable place for them to do the same to the Luchsinger Mackays that this criminal did not condemn”, it reads.
In addition, the posting is accompanied by three photographs: one where Elizalde’s parents appear, another from the entrance to the condominium where they live, with the word “fire” superimposed, and the last one with the legislator himself along with his wife and daughter, all with red crosses on their foreheads and marks of the same color on their necks, with the word “extermination” written at the bottom.
“That they threaten my parents, especially my mother, a woman of almost 80 years old with a disease that hinders her mobility, is very painful”, indicated Elizalde, who added that “The hatred with which these fanatics and intolerance act must be eradicated from our society.”
From the Executive, both the spokesperson, Jaime Bellolio, as the undersecretary of the Interior, Juan Francisco Galli, they condemned the threats that were denounced by Elizalde.
“For the Government, any threat is completely unacceptable in a democracy. I have communicated with the Senator and the Undersecretary @GalliJF and all the information was delivered to the PDI. In a democracy, we must condemn all forms of violence without ambiguity and without nuances, ”said Bellolio on Twitter.
In the same social network, Galli confirmed the investigation by the PDI and stressed that “this Sunday we will show that whatever our political differences, they are resolved with democracy, with dialogue and agreements and without violence or threats.”
