The Secretary General of the Senate, Raúl Guzmán, proposed to the Internal Regime Commission of the Upper House to leave the front office and assume administrative tasks before the formalization that the Public Ministry will carry out against him for alleged crimes against public health.

Minutes later, the parliamentary body issued a statement in which they ratified what Sandoval said, in the sense that Guzmán “once it is formalized, it will leave its legislative functions; this is participation in the room and committee meetings ”.

The former prosecutor is investigated by the prosecution under article 318 of the Penal Code, after having violated the quarantine on June 25, the day he went to a seafood restaurant in San Miguel to meet with the prosecutor Patricio Rosas and the advisor to the South Prosecutor’s Office, Roberto Contreras.
