The Senate constitution commission, decided to postpone once again the vote on the project it seeks to reserve seats for original towns in the constitutional convention.

Recall that the vote was set for this Tuesday at 10:00 am, however it was postponed to 8:00 pm with the aim of reaching an agreement between the ruling party and the opposition.

It is a process against the clock, considering the time that the proposal has been in the Senate in the second process, as well as considering that in January the lists for the constituent elections.

However, the agreement was not reached, so it was proposed to continue listening to organizations and representatives of native peoples, despite the fact that the hearing period was closed.

In that sense, it was decided to listen to them this Wednesday and then go on to vote in particular on this initiative that is in its second constitutional process in the Senate constitution commission.
