A general of Carabinieri managed to thwart the theft of a car in the commune of Quilicura.
In the afternoon of yesterday, at least 4 individuals armed with firearms and under the method of lock up, they intimidated a driver to steal his car at the intersection of Lo Marcoleta with Avenida Eduardo Frei Montalva.
The sector passed the General Enrique Monrás of the Western Prefecture, which upon realizing what had happened, he and his driver managed to repel the crime with bullets.
At the scene, two of those involved were arrested, one of them he was wounded by a bullet, for which he was transferred to a care facility.
This was pointed out by Colonel Sergio Cornejo, head of the Criminalistics Laboratory (Labocar) of the uniformed institution.
As a result of the procedure, it was achieved impound two cars in which those responsible were traveling, of which one of them had previously been robbed.
In addition, a firearm and various species of value were recovered, since it was possible to determine that previously this criminal gang would have carried out various pedestrian assaults who were at stops waiting for public transport.
One of those affected pointed out that the majority of those who committed these crimes were minors.
Specialized teams of Carabineros continued with the investigation in order to find two other assailants who managed to flee and determine other possible victims of the criminal gang.
