Second withdrawal of 10%: AFPs are ready for the payment process that will begin this Monday

Within hours of the second withdrawal of 10% becoming the Law of the Republic, the general manager of the AFP Association, Fernando Larraín, assured that they are prepared to receive payment requests starting this Monday.

“We pension fund managers are prepared so that from Monday, December 7, we can begin an agile, informed, simple and digital withdrawal process for those who request it. This is a simultaneous operation for more than nine million members of the pension system “declared Larraín.

Larraín indicated that they expect it to “have the same level of efficiency as the first withdrawal, with a large number of requests within the first days and with quick solutions to problems that arose in very particular cases.”

The representative added that “it is important to insist that given the pandemic context we are in, a 100% digital process has been designed, which does not require a password and it is not necessary to go to the branches.”

This Thursday the Senate dispatched the Government’s project for the second withdrawal of 10%, so now only its promulgation as law by President Sebastián Piñera remains.
