A man in his 60s died on Wednesday morning after being shot during a shooting registered in a Christmas fair that takes place on Tres Poniente avenue street in the Maipú commune.

The death of the man was confirmed by the doctor Marcos Enríquez, who explained that he was transferred from the Christmas fair to the hospital in a private car, registering deep bleeding and a gunshot wound to the neck.

Despite the efforts of the surgical team, the patient died due to the severity of the injuries ”, Enriquez indicated.

The shooting took place after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when in a fight between vendors, one of those involved drew a firearm and fired at least 6 shots to the ground, wounding the man, who initially was not part of the lawsuit.

This is the second shooting in less than 24 hours in a Christmas fair in Maipú, and so far there have been no arrests for any of the incidents.

“The other patient is a 25-year-old young man, brought by a SAMU ambulance, also with a gunshot wound in the gluteal region,
