He President Sebastián Piñera referred to the situation of truckers and road seizures, ensuring that this is not the way to find solutions and reiterating that the Government is open to dialogue.

In a visit to Alto Hospicio, the president assured that “We are not going to allow the taking of the highways or the interruption of the supply of food, medicine, ambulances, medical personnel or other goods.”

“That would be an attack on all Chileans and from that point of view I want to state, very clearly, that the way of solving these problems is not the shots, it is not violence. It’s the dialogue ”, argument.

Consequently, he reaffirmed that the Government is willing to find solutions.

“The government is open to dialogue and I have hope and confidence that this dialogue, which is taking place, will come to fruition,” he added.

In addition, he assured that within the three laws that the truckers had proposed, they had already presented it previously in Congress and asked the parliamentarians to speed up the process.
