A controversial video starring inmates and agents of Unit 33 of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service went viral in the last hours and generated an unexpected scandal. The women involved were filmed dancing to the rhythm of “Muévelo”, the Nicky Jam & Daddy Yankee song, inside the prison.
According to Todo Noticias, apparently the video was part of a re-socialization program, carried out for the first time in 2018. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the participants from all prison units had to present their choreographies through a video. The problem? The contest rules did not authorize the collaboration of the penitentiariesTherefore, an internal summary was opened to investigate how the situation was carried out and does not rule out sanctions.
The Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB) seeks answers about use of resources used in the production of the dance: a drone to record and a car to drive through the prison. In addition, the responsibility of the prison guards will be investigated.
It is not yet known if the areas had knowledge about the rule that prohibited the agents to join the choreography, but already were disqualified from the competition.
Policemen dancing at Tik Tok
In Dean Funes, at the end of July, a similar case occurred. Three policemen from Córdoba were investigated for filming themselves dancing and doing imitations while working at the police station. They published the videos on the Tik Tok platform.
There were two men and a woman who were recorded in uniforms at the police station and uploaded about 20 videos that quickly went viral in the city and then in the country.
The residents of the place were not very happy, since in that town, as in many other places, the cases of insecurity, product of the quarantine by the Covid-19, were increasing.
The Police Conduct Court of Córdoba was able to prove the guilt of the officers filming themselves at the police station. “A summary was opened to them, so now the Justice investigation will continue”said Ana Becerra, in charge of the court.
