Samuel Little, the Greatest Serial Killer in US History, Dies

Little samuel, America’s most prolific serial killer with almost 60 confirmed victims, has died. He was 80 years old.

Little, who suffered from diabetes, heart problems and other ailments, He died Wednesday at a California hospital. He was serving a life sentence on multiple murder charges.

California Department of Corrections spokeswoman Vicky Waters said the cause of death will be determined by a coroner, but that there is no indication of a criminal act.

Little, a career criminal who had been in and out of jail for decades, denied for years that he had killed anyone.

Then, in 2018, he caught up with Texas Ranger James Holland, who had been asked to question him about a murder that turned out not to be committed by Little. During approximately 700 hours of interviews, Little provided details of dozens of murders that only the killer would know about.

According to the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP), the man was directly involved in nearly 60 homicide cases in 14 states. However, Little claimed that his victims amount to 93 women in the last four decades.

For years, Samuel Little was in and out of jail without raising further suspicions from security agencies. In 2012, he was detained at a homeless shelter in Kentucky and was flown to California on a narcotics charge, but it was just the tip of the iceberg of the criminal record. The Los Angeles police investigation revealed that Little’s DNA was connected to three unsolved homicides that occurred between 1987 and 1989. They were women who had been beaten and abandoned in the city.

That record kicked off a full investigation led by ViCAP, which found Little was linked to crimes in 24 states, most of them unsolved homicides. One of these was a strangulation in Odessa, Texas. There, the Rangers interrogated Little for 18 months. This triggered him in 2014 to be charged with three counts of murder and sentenced to three consecutive life sentences without parole.

The mystery surrounds the alleged 43 more victims who have not yet been identified. According to FBI analysts, the murderer’s statements were “credible.” For this reason, US agencies opened a line of investigation in which they look for cases that coincide with Little’s confessions in order to provide a “closure and justice” for the families of unsolved cases.

Little was born on June 7, 1940, in Georgia. Most of his life was spent on the streets where he was arrested a dozen times while traveling around the country. The first assault on a woman would have been in 1976 in Missouri.
