Route 5 Sur is cut off in Ercilla as a result of the arson attack that destroyed four trucks and one pickup.
During the incident, shots were fired at drivers and people were injured.
More than seven hours after the attack, a great congestion is registered in the place, as mentioned by Radio Bío Bío auditors and drivers who are stuck on the road.
In another video from Radio Temuco, the magnitude of the block that is maintained by the work on the route after the attack can be seen.
The Investigative Police confirmed that a total of three drivers were injured by the arson attack. One wound up with a gunshot wound, another with splinters and the third reportedly beaten.
All were transferred to hospitals in the area, while the governor of Malleco is expected to visit the wounded around 11:00 am.
Radio Bío Bío auditors who are in the congestion reported the wait. One of them, also a truck driver, pointed out that both he and his colleagues cannot comply with the established itineraries that are caused by congestion.
