The general director of the Carabineros, Mario Rozas, attended this Sunday the funeral of Corporal Second Eugenio Naín, murdered on Friday in a procedure in Padre Las Casas, and stressed that “this fact cannot remain like this.”
This day the last farewell of the carabinero – killed in the town of Metrenco – took place at the Monte Verde Cemetery in Temuco, where hundreds of people, authorities and the high command of the Carabineros attended.
Was a massive goodbye in the regional capital, on a day that started with the funeral procession, led by a horse-drawn carriage, which left the Training School in the Las Quilas sector at noon, and then took Caupolicán Avenue and moved to the Second Police Station, where the young martyr received the honors of his fellow workers.
After that, the procession reached the cemetery, where hundreds of people, with flowers, balloons and flags, received the remains to give the final farewell.
“I have very mixed feelings, feelings of great sorrow, of great pain, but I also feel that as general manager I have the responsibility to overcome and also send a first message to our police, “said Rozas.
The institutional head maintained that “Eugenio’s death should give us much hope to continue working, to continue facing crime, to continue facing people who do not want order, do not want security. “
“This fact cannot remain like this“He also stated.
Goodbye comrade, Corporal 2nd. Eugenio Nain (RIP); today you are part of our heavenly squad. We are not going to rest until we find those who took it from us. Rest in peace, you will always be present. pic.twitter.com/BnSVXZrQBT

FORMER CARABINERO QUESTIONS ROZAS MANAGEMENT
One of the attendees was the retired NCO from the Carabineros Humberto Aguilera, who criticized that this fact “of ambush has nothing; of homicide it has 100 percent”, but -he attacked- “Minister Pérez does not want to give it the name of homicide, Mr. Rozas does not want to make known what measures he has taken to solve all these problems. “
“Son 60 thousand carabineros who feel unsafe throughout all of Chile “, he regretted, and called: “They have no support, less from your command. Please, Mr. Rozas, resign”.
