It was in July when it was announced that the State Defense Council (CDE) became part of the investigation carried out by the Public Ministry for the loss of more than one billion pesos from the Municipality of Coronel under the administration of Leonidas Romero, today a deputy for National Renovation (RN).
The case was brought to justice more than a year ago when the mayor Boris Chamorro filed the first complaint against the parliamentarian, in addition to those who were municipal administrator and the manager of Pro Employment.
However, Romero has assured that the judicial action is against all those who are responsible, accusing that the current communal chief of Coronel has been a liar and has harmed his family, for which he sued for serious libel and slander with publicity against him.
Chamorro assured that he has not been notified and therefore he said that he will wait for the antecedents to refer to the subject.
Romero also challenged the mayor to self-denounce to find out “who is right”, something that the mayor rejected, recalling that the parliamentarian even said that he was willing to renounce his jurisdiction, so he invited the legislator to deliver the background to the State Defense Council.
