RN will remove reference to “Pasapalabra” from its strip after controversy
As reported by BioBioChile, the Chilevisión channel would be analyzing taking action after a reference to the “Pasapalabra” contest program appeared in the National Renovation (RN) electoral strip this noon.
On the occasion, the party’s space to call for a vote in favor of the “Mixed Convention” option in the October 25 plebiscite used an imitation of the game “El Rosco”, characteristic of the production conducted by Julián Elfenbein.
Given the controversy generated, RN issued a statement in which they indicated that they had “settled” the issue.
“Regarding the commotion generated by the playful recreation of a scene from the program ‘Pasapalabra’ in the political strip of National Renovation, the party regrets the fact and has declared that it is willing to stop broadcasting that scene from the next installment of episodes to the National Television Council (CNTV) “they noted in the statement.
The lawyer for National Renovation, Eduardo Riquelme, said that the party resolved “to stop broadcasting the scene, so that from next Tuesday, once the audiovisual pieces are delivered to the CNTV, the latter will be excluded from the programming”, Riquelme explained.
“The objective of National Renewal sought to transport viewers of the television strip to live a pleasant moment when it comes to learning about the plebiscite that our country will live,” they assured.
Let us remember that Chilevisión sources confirmed to BioBioChile that the channel was reviewing the matter with its legal area as it was a matter of image use and copyright.
