Francisca Rivas and Chris Vorpahl took the national women’s beach volleyball for the first time in its history to a podium at the World Tour, after they reached the bronze in the 1 star tournament that was played until today in Vilnius, Lithuania.
After falling in the semifinals against the Italians Claudia Scampoli and Margherita Bianchin (18-21 and 19-21), the nationals faced the locals for third place Leva Dumbauskaite and Karole Virbickaite, who they defeated by 21-19 and 21-15, thus closing a lucid performance.
“We are very happy with this achievement. It is not a coincidence or coincidence since we have worked hard for this, and it was a goal that we had been setting ourselves.
