Report riots and burning of a Transantiago bus in Villa Francia

In hours of the night of this Friday are reported riots in the Villa Francia sector, in the commune of Estación Central, in the midst of the situation due to the coronavirus pandemic that has kept Chile in a state of catastrophe since March.

Because of this, Carabineros Special Forces acts on site to disperse the incidents.

In addition, in the same sector, in 5 April with Quemchi, a Transantiago bus was burned past 9:00 p.m., which led to the presence of firefighters.

According to police personnel, about 100 people intercepted the “caterpillar” bus of public transport, and then set it on fire in its entirety.

Police dispersed concentration in Plaza Baquedano

Earlier Carabineros acted in Baquedano Square, where – according to the police information – there was a concentration of more than 50 people in Plaza Baquedano.

Among the measures ordered by the Government in the face of the health crisis, mass meetings are prohibited.
