A man died this Tuesday as a result of a shotgun blast that hit him in the chest, in the Renca commune.
The circumstances of the event are still unclear, but the preliminary information collected by the Carabineros indicates that it occurred in the middle of a Shooting exchange starring his 19-year-old stepson, who carried a shotgun, and unknown, outside an address located on Calle Dionisio.
It was at those times that one of the shots would have hit the victim in the chest.
“Police personnel from the Hospital Félix Bulnes reported the admission of a man, about 39 years old, who presented a ballistic wound in the upper part of his body and who, unfortunately, due to the seriousness of his injury, died”, said Lieutenant Fernando Olivares, patrol officer of the Santiago Occidente Prefecture.
According to the uniformed police, the stepson, who records a large medical record, for the moment remains fugitive.
The Public Ministry determined that the Carabineros, through its OS9, investigate the fatal episode.
