Records of the 6.5 earthquake that was felt in much of Chile and Argentina

As reported by the National Seismological Center, at 11:46 p.m. this Monday, a telluric movement was perceived whose epicenter was located at 61 km on the southwest of San Juan, Argentina.

The tremor had a magnitude 6.5 and produced 4.6 km deep, being perceived in a large part of the national territory, from the Atacama Region to the Maule Region.

For its part, the National Emergency Office (Onemi) indicated that the characteristics of the earthquake “do not meet the necessary conditions to generate a tsunami off the coast of Chile”.

Due to this earthquake, various Social media users shared the records of how this movement was experienced and what were the reactions as a result of this natural phenomenon.

Both in Chile and Argentina, especially Córdoba, have been published videos showing the magnitude of the earthquake, causing even the fall of objects from shelves and the continuous movement of pendant lamps.
