The new consortium will disburse more than 800 million dollars in investment.
The new works will generate 350 average jobs per month during the construction phase, with an average top 500 jobs a month in 2027.
Among the main works, the best local connectivity stands out in the nearly 200 kilometers of Route 5 covered by the initiative, the construction of a 56-km bypass to San Rafael, Talca and Maule and third tracks between the south of San Carlos and the end of the concession in the commune of Chillán Viejo.
In addition, it includes the construction of a series of structures, such as interchanges, returns, walkways and bus bays with acceleration and braking lanes, the development of service streets, new drainage projects, lighting and landscaping, among other works.
