The president of Renovación Nacional, Rafael Prohens, got tired of the internal conflicts between Chile Vamos and the Government, which increased after the approval of the second withdrawal of 10% of the AFPs, especially to the reproaches of the president of the UDI, Jacqueline Van Rysselberghe, and those of the deputy and president Evópoli, Andrés Molina, who pointed to the Minister of the Segpres, Cristián Monckeberg, as allegedly responsible for the result of this vote and that of the constitutional accusation against Víctor Pérez.

For Prohens, the words of parliamentarians Van Rysselberghe and Molina “are not only an enormous injustice to a minister who has come to put dialogue and respect as fundamental values of the coalition, which has promoted a new real deal with the parties, but also constitute an enormous folly, by showing disaffection with the government and an unhealthy interest in obtaining some personal or corporate political profit from a moment of tension in the sector ”.

In that sense, Prohens pointed out that “the little game of hitting the RN ministers must end here and now. It is time to work for the unity of the sector ”.

“We are not going to allow this situation to extend over time or to be taken as a pastime that has no consequences. RN is a party and also a political project. Our ministers, in that sense, are our representatives and we are going to take care of them. The Chile Vamos unit is something that must be protected day by day and it seems to me that it is time to put a stop to this situation ”.

For the helmsman RN, “the most important thing now is that we not only turn the page, but that we draw lessons from everything that happened again in these weeks as a coalition.” “Minister Cristián Monckeberg said yesterday that the government has paid attention to what our parliamentarians have said in the 10 percent vote and that seems brave and valuable to me. But it is also up to us, as parliamentarians of Chile Vamos, to make an assessment of how we are working and how we respond as a bloc to the challenges posed by the pandemic, the economic crisis and unemployment ”.

“We are a party with middle class DNA. We know very well about the pains, frustrations and hopes that Chileans feel today and we are sure that it is a sentiment shared by President Sebastián Piñera, who shares so much with the party that was his home for 20 years. ”In addition, he announced that in the next few days they will arrive at La Moneda to meet with Minister Monckeberg and deliver an agenda of the party’s legislative priorities,“ focused on the social, health, entrepreneurship and employment agenda, ”he concluded.
