The Regional Ministerial Secretariat (Seremi) of Health of the Metropolitan Region closed the Edelweiss Clinic on Tuesday, located in Providencia, where a 39-year-old woman died yesterday, preliminarily, from a cardiorespiratory arrest after suffering complications in the middle of plastic surgery.
The deceased was undergoing an abdominoplasty and breast implants, procedures for which she presented complications. The family of the affected party will take legal action for alleged negligence.
The aesthetic clinic he had already had to pay a millionaire compensation for negligence in 2018.
The inspector of the Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) Sagery Gomez stated that “the clinical record was obtained and, in addition to this, an analysis of everything that had been the procedure was made. We are waiting for the cause to be determined by the Legal Medical Service (SML), to establish whether there is negligence on the part of the doctor in question “.
