Protesters take over the Plaza Baquedano sector in a new day of protests | National

This Friday a new demonstration takes place in the Plaza Baquedano sector, in Santiago.

A large group of people are reported who took the monument to General Baquedano, however they moved to the Forest Park.

Carabineros Public Order Control Personnel (COP) conducted a peripheral in the area to disperse possible incidents.

However, hooded men began to throw blunt objects and Molotov cocktails at the police officers, who tried to disperse the demonstration using the water launcher and tear gas canisters.

The traffic remains cut both waysWhile the Baquedano Metro station is closed, however, it can be accessed by Line 5 in front of the Telefónica tower.
