On Thursday night a recess was decreed from the formalization hearing against eight indicted for death threats made against prosecutor Ximena Chong, which will be resumed this Friday at about 09:00.
The hearing in question is being held in the 7th Guarantee Court of Santiago, being headed by the Central North regional prosecutor (s) Francisco Jacir, who not only charged the crime of threats, but also – for the vast majority of those formalized – the violation of the Weapons Law.
Likewise, the North Central Prosecutor’s Office requested preventive detention for the eight formalized, who will spend the night in the High Security Jail waiting for its formalization to be resumed.
