The Guarantee Court of Panguipulli left three subjects accused of participating in the death of a 25-year-old girl who was shot in the head on the shores of Lake Riñihue, commune of Panguipulli, in the Los Ríos Region.
This event, registered last Tuesday, occurred in the Riñipamu condominium after the victim -identified as Emilia Herrera Obretch– together with other members of the Lof Llazcaw Mapuche community, have a discussion with the defendants for the opening of beaches in the place.
It is at this moment that one of the accused would have shot the woman in the head, causing death. Due to this fact, Carabineros arrested three people: Francisco Jara, Carlos López and Cristián Cisternas.
The three involved in the incident, who assured that they provided services within the condominium, were charged by the Public Ministry as perpetrators of the consummated crimes of Qualified homicide and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
At the hearing to formalize the investigation, Magistrate Felipe Muñoz ordered the detainees to enter the Valdivia Penitentiary Complex, after being considered a danger to the safety of society.
In addition, the investigation period was set at 120 days.
