Later, when the victim fell to the ground, the defendant sprayed a flammable liquid on her and lit a match that he dropped on her, which managed to extinguish the flames in her neck and hair. Due to this, she resulted in multiple trauma, cardiac tamponade with a high risk of vascular injury and first degree cervical burn, injuries considered clinically serious.
The next day, the victim managed to flee the place, being helped by a woman who transferred her to the city hospital, and later transferred to the La Serena hospital, where she remains hospitalized to date. The accused, meanwhile, was arrested on September 18 in La Serena by the Investigative Police.
The investigation will have a period of 120 days.
