This Sunday the president of the Electoral Service (Servel), Patricio Santamaría, referred to the plebiscite day that is being carried out, instance where he expressed the impression that this plebiscite will surpass the highest vote in the last eight years.
“We have never before seen a participation process like the one we are seeing. Obviously it will be the highest participation since 2012 when the voluntary vote was established “, said the president of Servel in conversation with Radio Universo.
Along these lines, he noted: “I get the impression that we are going to surpass the highest vote we have had in the last eight years, which was the one that elected President Piñera with 49.2%.”
In relation to particular cases that have occurred in the middle of the vote, as isolated incidents, he mentioned that “there are always funny ones. They are common things, we have experienced specific things in other processes, they mark a fact that generates a certain reaction, but that in general balance must be allowed to pass ”.
“If we have a very high vote today that we were not used to eight years ago, we have to be satisfied. There is always someone who makes a joke, who wants to give them ready, some opportunities were handing out berlines and completes to the vocals. These skirmishes exist, the important thing is that there has been no violence “, he assured.
