The director and president of AFP Modelo, Juan Pablo Coeymans, He submitted his resignation from the post, which will be effective as of September 30 and alleging “personal reasons” to continue in his functions.
“The Board of AFP Modelo SA learned of the resignation of Mr. Juan Pablo Coeymans Moreno from the position of Director and President, as of September 30, 2020, For personal motives and whose intention had been timely communicated at the beginning of this year ”, they explained.
Through an official letter sent to the Financial Market Commission (CMF), AFP Modelo reported that Coeymans submitted his resignation at the last board meeting, held on Friday, September 11.
“In said session, the Board of Directors accepted the resignation presented by Mr. Coeymans Moreno, thanked their participation and made a special recognition for the management carried out in different roles in the Company. At the same time, the Board of Directors conveyed its interest in having the advice of Mr. Coeymans Moreno, for the next periods, ”the document states.
In addition, the administrator indicated that the successor of Coeymans will be informed in a timely manner and that the full board of the company will be renewed at the next Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting.
AFP Modelo has been widely questioned in recent weeks, due to the errors reported by affiliates to withdraw 10% of their pension funds.
