Until the commune of Chillán the Minister of the Interior moved, Victor Perez, to exercise their right to vote in the framework of this Sunday’s plebiscite.

From that city, the secretary of state made a first balance of the first hour of voting, ensuring that “everything is fine” and that there have been no problems.

“The information we have is that everything is working according to what was programmed. Servel has done a great job and the other institutions are collaborating, “he said.

That everything is working “properly”, he remarked, is thanks to the planning and work done. “We proudly see how the tables have been set up, that the members and proxies are there. We are starting a great day of democratic party“, he emphasized.

The minister assured that the Government expects a high participation during this day. “We hope that the turnout is close to the last presidential election,” he said.

Regarding the result of the plebiscite, the authority was blunt in maintaining that, “without a doubt, it will be respected.”

THE Plebiscite and the rejection of violence

On the occasion, Pérez took the opportunity to maintain that this consultation is the formula that allows building a country “in peace, with dialogue.”

“We are going to reject violence, in a very significant way. I think we are going to have a great day,” he said, recalling the call to participate.
